Effective charge device SWEL-ECD: recent testsEffective accumulator charging device “SWEL-ECD” realize the algorithm of decreasing the polarization component of internal resistance of chemical current sources. Technique and equipmentWe have designed and manufactured charge-discharge test benches of 500 W and 6 kW maximum power, based upon electronic separator prototypes. With the help of these test benches we’ve studied discharge characteristics of several types of lead-acid and Li-ion accumulators, as well as that of two-layer and hybrid supercapacitors. Discharge of Kokam lithium accumulator batteryDischarge of Kokam lithium accumulator battery (12 V, 11 A∙h) by the current 2.5 – 3 C with the help of the 500 W power test bench. Discharge of Varta lead-acid accumulator batteryDischarge of Varta lead-acid accumulator battery (12 V, 40 A∙h) by the current 1 C with the help of a 500 W power test bench. Discharge of IKE two-layer supercapacitorDischarge of IKE two-layer supercapacitor with the help of 6 kW power test bench.
